San Francisco Ordinance requires all commercial buildings to submit energy usage data annually
The City and County of San Francisco is conducting an aggressive municipal building energy efficiency program administered by the Public Utilities Commission. In 2011 the City passed an ordinance requiring all commercial building to submit energy usage data annually and conduct energy audits every five years*. Not addressing compliance measures will delay permitting and lead to delays in permitted improvements and tenant move in/confidence.
A building 5,000 to 49,999 Sq ft require an ASHRAE level 1 Walk-through analysis, whereas 50,000 sq ft or larger requires a ASHRAE Level 2 energy survey and engineering analysis.
